I just read John’s obituary. It saddens me to know he’s gone, but Jack led a long, productive life. He was a major influence in my life, having been my first Detachment Commander, in Meaford, when I joined the OPP in the early 1970s. Not only was he my boss, but Jack was a mentor, a friend, and an all-round great guy. To the Maltman family … you really had a gem there. Take good care.
