Lougheed, Graham Eugene
Graham Lougheed of Meaford passed away peacefully at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in his 90th year.

Born in Nottawasaga Township on November 8, 1933, a son of the late Arnold and Vera (nee Lightheart) Lougheed.
Graham will be missed by his beloved wife of more than 67 years, Grace Lougheed (nee Radley) of Meaford.
He was the much-loved father of Pat Thornton (Jim), Kim Lee (Mike), Valerie Morrison, was predeceased by his daughter Donna Lougheed and son-in-law Randy Morrison and will be fondly remembered by Gord Dinsmore.
Graham was the proud Grandpa of Terri, Alana, Lee Marie, Amanda, Andrew, Brandon (Keith), Samantha (Marko), and Spencer (Liz). He was the wonderful Great Grandpa of eight.
Graham was the dear brother of Melvin, Marcia, Sylvia, Wayne, Delmer (Barb), Della (Larry) and Audrey. He was predeceased by his siblings Evelyn, Phyllis, Josephine and John.
Graham will be remembered fondly by Grace’s family, Millie, Eva, Jane and by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Graham was a wonderful father and a very hard worker. His family meant the world to him and he treated Sunday as his ‘day of rest’, to be spent enjoying time with his family. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and watching them participate in sports. Graham took great pride in his family and his home. He worked with heavy machinery for years and eventually joined the Meaford Town Works until he retired in 1999. Graham was very generous with his time and loved to help out others wherever and whenever he could. He was an active member of the Brotherhood of the Anglican Churchmen ‘B.A.C.’ and volunteered at the Day Away Program. Graham was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Pythagoras AF & AM GRC #137 of Meaford where he made many lifelong friendships.

You were a great man and I will always have many fond memories of you from my childhood. I was blessed to inherit you as my Grandfather, as well as the rest of my Bonus Mom’s family when I moved in with her and my Dad when I was 7. You have all made me feel like I was loved and accepted as if I were Donna’s biological daughter. I will never forget that or the kindness everyone has shown me, and now my son as well, even after she passed away or if I went a while without keeping in touch. You could always make me laugh and smile and made me feel so welcome. You will be missed. I’m sorry I didn’t make it up to see you before you passed away but I will be there Monday and Tuesday to celebrate you with the family. Rest in peace and give my Bonus Mom the biggest hug for me please, as I miss her every day. We love you Grandpa Graham. XO Lee Lee

Dear Aunt Grace, Pat, Kim, Val and your families – my sincere sympathy at your loss of such a great man.
He sure was the best of men when he stood up at my parents wedding, I remember so well the pride in mom’s voice when she told me how Uncle Graham could yodel as well as eddy arnold. She admired him so as did all of our family. Dust was surely named after someone very special. I will never forget the planters he made me for my 50th birthday or how him and Aunt Grace came to visit and brought dinner when I was home recovering after my cancer surgery.
My thought and prayers are with you all. Barb Gull
