Stevenson (nee Keaveney), Carrol Anne
On Thursday morning, April 25th, 2024 Carrol Anne passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre in her 80th year.
Born in Toronto, ON on May 4, 1944, a daughter of the late John and Cora Keaveney.
She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Stevenson in 1997.
Carrol will be dearly missed by her sister Mary Thibeault (Marvin); brothers Michael (late Jane), Jim (Liz), and Stephen Keaveney. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Dale, and infant Kerry Keaveney. She will be remembered fondly by her sister-in-law Shirley Keaveney.
Carrol worked as an accountant for many years. She loved her animals over the years. Carrol enjoyed crocheting and did needle work. She treasured her family and time together at family reunions was very important to Carrol. She belonged to the ‘Kluckers’ euchre group for 40 years and loved to be with her very good friends Lorna, Sandy and Noella. She looked forward to her holidays in Florida with her mother and sister Mary, and enjoyed a trip to Mexico for her niece’s wedding.
Carrol had many nieces and nephews who she loved very much; Christine, Gerald, Angela, Katherine, Robert, Brandon, Josh, Jennifer, Kerri, Matthew, Kelly, Andrew, Mikayla, Shaelyn, also many grand nieces and nephews. Carol was kind and generous, and has shared her home with several family members over the years.
Carrol’s family thank the Meaford Long Term Care Centre for the care and support she received.
A celebration of Carrol’s life will take place at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 12 noon until 3 p.m.
