MacLeod, Ian Murdoch
Ian passed away peacefully at home in Meaford on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the age of 81.

Born in England on July 6, 1944, Ian was a son of the late Donald Murdoch and Eileen Joan (nee Blackburn) MacLeod.
He was the proud father of Mark MacLeod (Crystal Austin), David MacLeod, Rob MacLeod, and grandfather of Ryder, Aja, Zaiah, Grant, Reid, Taidg, Kai, and Nico. Ian will be remembered by Pat MacLeod, and was predeceased by Shirley MacLeod.
He was the dear brother of Deborah Thibedeau (late Herb), Joan Watson (late David), and was predeceased by his sister Tish Hagar (late Clyde). He will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and their families.
He will be missed by his special friend Barbara Petrie who enjoyed sharing a home with Ian and appreciated his companionship and assistance. They shared a strong faith and worked well together caring for the home and each other.
He worked many years in the retail industry, managing stores in various locations and eventually settled down in the Blue Mountain area. He managed the Woolworth store in Collingwood and he and Pat raised their children in the Thornbury area. Ian loved to travel to the East Coast where he had been raised. He looked forward to visiting family and friends.
