Pilon, Allan Jeffrey William 'Jeff'

Jeff Pilon passed away suddenly with his wife by his side at Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 34.

Born in Meaford on August 15, 1986, Jeff was the youngest son of Al and Lisa (nee VanAlstyne) Pilon.

Jeff will be sadly missed by the love of his life, his best friend and wife, Ashley Pilon of Meaford.

He was a proud, loving and devoted Daddy to Skylar, Gage, Charlie and Rainy. They were the light of his life and always pushed him to be the best Dad and person he could be.  He loved his children more than anything and always taught them to be true and honest.

Jeff was the ‘Baby Brother’ of Rob Pilon (Amy) of Meaford, Chris Pilon (Angela) of Meaford and Anne Pilon (Jes) of Durham. He was the loving and supportive uncle of Alora, Andrew, Zach and Hailey.

He will be remembered fondly by his uncles Sean VanAlstyne of Nanaimo, BC, Jim and Leita Peacock of Queensville, John Vickers of Meaford and was predeceased by Larry Pilon, and will be remembered also by his cousins Angela (Andrew) and Daren (Alycia).

Jeff was the dear grandson of Marie Pilon of Meaford (late Oliver) and the late Barb and Terry VanAlstyne of Thornbury.

He was the son-in-law of Steve Edwards of Toronto and brother-in-law of Katie Brown of Toronto and Kelsey McAlpine of Meaford.

Jeff was an amazing man, Son, Husband and Daddy. His wife and kids were his world and he always tried hard to do his best for them.  He was a fighter and never gave up.  If you knew Jeff you could tell just by his smile that he was the kindest soul and would be there for anyone whether he knew them or not.  He loved his parents, his brothers and sister so much and always wanted to take care of them and spend as much time with them as he could.  Jeff loved unconditionally. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and devastating that such a beautiful soul was taken from us so soon.  He made sure to ask Ashley to share “Tell everyone I love them.”

A private family visitation was conducted and cremation will follow. A celebration of Jeff’s life with take place at a later date when family and friends can safely gather.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to a fund for Jeff’s children (cheques only please made payable to Ashley Edwards Brown) would appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.com

To Ashley and all of Jeff’s Family
I’m thinking of all of you at this very ,very sad time. I first got to know Jeff when I worked at GBSS and he was a student there. He was always smiling, making jokes and looking for opportunities to have fun ! Then I met up with him again when I was working at SVE and he was arriving to drop his kids off. If I thought he had a great smile in high school, it was even brighter and wider when he came in with his kids. His love and pride in them was so very evident ; it was obvious he was a caring and very involved Dad. Although he was taken far too soon, cherish all the wonderful memories that you have. Jeff’s legacy and wonderful smile will live on in his children. Take care.

    Al & Lisa and family,
My deepest condolences for your loss. I was so shocked when I learned of Jeff’s passing. Taken far, far too soon! I remember Jeff as a toddler running around the yard at Grandma Marie’s, chasing the girls, while Terrilyn and Anne played. The girls made it a game, and the squeals of laughter and delight coming from Jeff was priceless!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
    – Love, Jo
