I’ve met Tony for the first, and only time, at David and Sarah’s wedding. During Covid 19, he wasn’t afraid to fly across Canada to attend his granddaughter’s ceremony. He was enthusiastic and full of energy. He wore a big, beautiful smile all the time and his face beamed with happiness for his granddaughter and grandson-in-law. That’s how I will remember him. Sarah, my daughter-in-law, told me that her grandfather Tony was a great inspiration in her life. What a great gift to leave to someone!
Please accept my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time. May wonderful memories of Tony be a great source of comfort, strength and support to you now and in the future.

As a friend of Emma, I had the pleasure of visiting with and meeting Tony and Beryle a few years ago. I was struck by Tony’s great outlook on life, enthusiasm and pride in his wife and family. A lovely gentleman. My thoughts and sympathy are with you all at this sad time.

Of all the places to meet – I met Tony and Beryle in an elevator in Shanghai quite a few years ago, and by the time we had floated down from the top floors of the hotel, we had become friends. I had a car and driver waiting to take me around the ‘sights’ so I invited Tony and Beryle to join me. We have been friends ever since, with me visiting Canada and them visiting Australia.

Tony was an outstanding and remarkable gentleman who will be greatly missed. He possessed a rare wisdom and insight, and a drive for life that was infectious. His kindly nature and good humour was valued by all who knew him.

“Fair winds and following seas” dear friend.
