Hill, Bradley Joseph

August 8, 1990 – June 22, 2024

Bradley passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the age of 33.

Bradley is survived by his son Benjamin who was the light of Bradley’s life.

He is also survived by his loving parents Lisa (Steve) and Alan (Tracy), his sister Misha, his brother Jonathan (Katelynn), and Shannon and Bret.  He will be missed and fondly remembered by Sophia, Ethan, Kya, Rilynn, Connor and Emma.

Bradley spent his teenage summers working at the Ojibway Club in Pointe au Baril where he made many memories and lifelong friendships.  His passion was to be on the open water in a boat, but his ultimate favourite place was sitting on the beaches of Christian Island.

Bradley spent the last few years dedicating himself to his self-improvement and helping so many others with their sobriety. He was the living proof that it is possible to defeat the disease of addiction.  Bradley was advocating for men’s mental health, fighting the stigma and reinforcing that it is ‘ok not to be ok’.

My deepest sympathy to Brad’s family. I just heard about his passing while on a meeting with our recovery group today. My heart sunk as he was a true inspiration to all of us. I remember when I first heard his story and then met him for the first time in person last year in Ottawa, man did we ever get along. He said he hasn’t laughed so hard like we did that weekend and we kept in touch ever since. You will be missed my man.

Alex and I will always miss you Bradley but are so grateful we were able to be part of your life. We celebrated your birth and then watched you grow into an outstanding young man and father. Ben was so lucky to have you for a father. You were the baby of the Christian Island cousins but that just made you run and swim faster, laugh loudest and bring joy to all of us. Your smile would light up a room. We will love and miss you forever but thank you for so many wonderful memories that we will always cherish. You will remain in our hearts.
    Love always Alex and Julie

We send heartfelt condolences to our best friends Alan and Tracy and also to Lisa and Steve and all of the extended Hill family. There are no words that we can share to take your pain away, but please know that we are here for you. Bradley was always kind and friendly, and was quick to share his beautiful smile. He was Alan’s baby and was loved and cherished immensely, just as Brad loved and cherished his son, Ben.
Bradley is no longer in pain and his spirit will live on in his son. Gone way too young, rest in peace Bradley.

We are so very sorry to have heard of
the passing of Brad. Our heartfelt condolences . I will always remember him coming to our house with Jon as sometimes a little tag along! So cute and sweet. Although he was scared of my big dog! And in later years with the guys who all hung here in the shed . They had fabulous times and I loved them for coming to keep Richard company. May you cherish your great memories and experiences with him and keep him safe in your hearts

Lisa and Alan and families, we are so sorry for your loss of Bradley. I only met Brad a few times when he was just a toddler, but it sounds like we both shared a love for Georgian Bay and C.I. So in my mind he was a good man! I’m sorry I could not share his celebration of life with you all, but know our hearts are with you at this difficult time.

Condolences to Alan, Lisa and families. I have known Brad for a large part of his life as he grew up with my daughter at school and socially for a few years. I was so happy for the huge change and efforts in sobriety. He was taken way too soon. May the many life’s he helped move forward stay the course. Rest in peace Brad knowing you did lots of good.
