Robson, Carol Ann

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Ann Robson, age 79, who left us on July 13, 2026 at her home in Meaford, Ontario, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother and grandmother, and a wonderful friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on March 19, 1947, in Maple, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Rilla Saigeon.

Carol married Bill Robson in June 1968, and they spent their first few years residing in Fort Macleod, Alberta before they bought and operated Walters Falls Milling Company.

She spent her life creating a warm, welcoming home and dedicating herself to the people she loved. For many years, Carol worked as the bookkeeper for their business and was a dedicated homemaker.  She enjoyed bowling, curling, golfing, lawn bowling and was an avid reader. She volunteered within her community, one of which was at Participation Lodge and loved baking for events. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, as she cherished every moment spent with them, especially summer visits with her grandchildren.

Carol will be forever remembered by her son Bradley Robson and his spouse Lisa and her cherished grandchildren, Emma Jane and Alyssa Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her beloved son Jeffrey Robson.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors for their compassionate care during her final days.

A private graveside service celebrating her life will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford with immediate family only.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Brightshores Meaford Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.   www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

Dear Bill, Brad & Lisa, Emma and Allyssa
We are thinking of all of you at this very sad time with the loss of Carol: Wife, Mom, Mother in Law and Grandma. Carol was a good neighbour and an even better friend. She had a beautiful smile and was always very generous with her time and her baking. Carol and I had lots of walks and chats together over the years and I enjoyed spending time with her. Hoping you can find comfort in good memories of Carol and knowing she is at peace now and reunited with Jeffrey.
Take care of each other and Rest in Peace Carol

Bill, Brad and family so sorry for Carol’s passing. But know she will be remembered forever. Carol was always our “voice of reason” offering us (Walter’s Falls Ball Team) words of advice during many years of playing for coach Bill. We were always welcome in your home and we were all “her boys”!! I know we raised our boys on many of the principles learned from you both. Tom and Lynn Carbert
