Stevens, Charles James 'Chuck'
It is with great sadness that we announce, Charles James Stevens, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Hospice Georgian Triangle ‘Campbell House’ in Collingwood on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, Marjorie, and his boys Gregory, Robert and Gordon and their wives Krista, Patricia, and Nancy, respectively. He was the very proud grandfather of: Jenny, Julia, Jackie-Rose (Greg/Krista) Brooke, Brittany, Robbie, Leah (Robert/Patricia) Matthew, Josh (Gord/Nancy).
Chuck was a warm, kind, and generous man who made every room he entered lighter and more comfortable for everyone around him. Whether you knew him casually or were among his closest friends and family, the feeling was always the same — people were drawn to his humour, his heart, and the ease he brought into every moment. He loved his family and he absolutely adored our mom. He never wanted to leave her side; even after receiving a dire prognosis, he wanted to go back to the retirement home to spend his final days with her.
All are welcome to pay their respects at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Friday, April 17, 2026 between 12 noon and 1 p.m. for a period of visitation. A private family service will follow. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Hospice Georgian Triangle ‘Campbell House’ would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

Bruce and I loved bumping into Marje and Chuck when either they, or we, were out and about. If they walked or drove by, Marje and Chuck would always stop to chat. We became friends and sorely missed them when they moved from their lovely home in Meaford. Please tell Marje that Brucie and Audrey send their love, and are thinking of her and your family.

Ron & I met your parents through couple’s golf, women & men’s golf in Medford. We had many good laughs through the years. Our condolence go’s out to the family & Marge, for Chuck was always making others laugh, he will be missed!

Our deepest condolences to Marj and family.
As fellow lakeshore road walkers we encountered each other quite a few times per week and greatly enjoyed our talks with them.
We missed them when we moved in 2019.

Chuck and Marj have been close friends of my family for over 40 years. Chuck always greeted me with a hug and was genuinely interested in hearing about what I was doing. I never saw him without a smile on his face. What a wonderful guy. My condolences to the whole family for your loss.
