Witt, Cynthia Joan

Cynthia Witt passed away peacefully at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the age of 100.

She was born on August 13, 1924 in England.

Cynthia was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Witt in 2013.

She will be missed dearly by her son Vincent Witt, and was predeceased by her daughter Karen Witt.

Cynthia was predeceased by her brother Terry Vincent and will be remembered fondly by her nieces Sharon and Jenny, and by her nephew Trevor.

Cynthia and Walter met in Toronto on the escalator when they both worked in the textile industry at Simpsons in the city. They later married and eventually opened their own store ‘Fabric Fashions’ at the Brampton Mall.  They enjoyed bowling and sailing together in their free time and many Sunday drives as a family.

Cremation has taken place.  Private family arrangements.

    I am sorry to know that your dear mom has left this world. 100 years though! Wow, what an feat!! Cynthia was such a dear, sweet woman. I guess that’s how you and your sister turned out to be sweeties, too. Your dad had a large role in that also. It’s your turn to carry the family torch. Hold it high with pride and shine on. Let’s go for a sail this summer.
