Tippin, David James 'Tippy'

The family of Dave ‘Tippy’ Tippin are shocked and deeply saddened by his sudden passing on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the age of 62.

Born in Meaford on September 26, 1963; Dave was a son of the late Donald and Dorothy (nee Loucks) Tippin.

He will be missed by his wife Sandie Amodeo and his step-children David (Jennifer) and Catherine (Geoff).  Dave was the proud Grandpa of Sloane and Malcolm.

He will be remembered fondly by his brother Dan Tippin, sister-in-law Wendy, and their daughter Katelyn.

Dave was well known in the neighbourhood. He was a kind and friendly man who loved to laugh and smile. He was an avid fisherman, and a big sports fan, fishing in all the best ‘fishing holes’ in the area, and playing baseball, hockey, and golf. In later years, however, he was content to watch it all on TV. He loved dogs and nature, and was generous to a fault with both his time and his help. Dave’s laugh and smile are already missed by those who knew and loved him. He’s left a huge hole in our lives.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of Dave’s life at a later date.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.   www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

    Sandie and Cat,
Please except our deepest sympathies, it was a shock to hear of Dave’s death. We will miss him. Such a great neighbour, always funny and interesting to talk to. Shovelling snow and commiserating about the weather was something that never got old.
    Take care,
    Joanne and Dave
