Nelson, Diana 'Carol'
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Carol, who passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023 at the age of 84 with her family by her side.

She was the precious daughter of the late Clifford ‘Red’ & Etta Mothersill.
Carol was the beloved wife of the late Norman Nelson. Loving mother to Dan, Wade & Laurie. Proud grandmother to Vanessa (Steve), Brenna (Brett), Colby (Cattie), Melissa, Pamela, Daniel (Sara) & Sonya. She was also the glowing great grandmother of 10 beautiful great grandchildren and a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Carol is predeceased by her son Dan, and her siblings Eleanor, Garry & Donnie.
Our family would like to express and extend our profound gratitude to the staff at Meaford Hospital and their gift of hospitality, comfort and care they provided when it was needed the most. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Owen Sound Hospital, the PSW’s, Home and Community Care workers and every single person who has been so supportive in helping our family navigate these challenging and heartbreaking times. A very special thank you to Dr. Alex McCallion for the last 50 years of family care that could never be replaced.
No immediate arrangements have been made for interment at this time. A graveside service will be conducted in the Spring of 2024 at Boston Mills Cemetery. Details will be announced closer to the date.
Carol was an advocate for blood donation for many years, she was dedicated to making calls that acted as a reminder to donate when blood drives were in the neighbourhood and she actively donated for many, many years. It’s in you to give, and she most certainly did.
As your expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Blood Services or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

Grandma, you were a force of nature and I love you fiercely. Time passes too fast; decades go by in a flash. I wish with all my heart I could have you here for just one more day. Everyone should be so fortunate to have a smart, sassy and incredible role model like you in their lives. Your strength will live on in everyone who loves you ♥️ I will miss you forever and a day. Rest easy Grandma. I love you so much.
Love Always,
♥️ Vanessa, Steve, Rylee & Brooklyn ♥️
