My deepest condolences to the Cubitt Family
Although I have never met any of you, I may have met your mother Doreen many years ago. I was a young nurse working in the Acute Therapy Unit at TGH when I cared for Bert Cubitt in the early 1970s. He was a very ill man after having open heart surgery. I cared for him for many days & wasn’t sure if he would live or not. The last time I saw him, he came to the unit to say hello to the nurses & its a memory that I will cherish with my entire life. It was so meaningful to a young nurse & my colleagues to see someone looking so healthy after caring for him when he was so critically ill.
With deepest condolences on your losses

Dear Cubitt Family
I wrote earlier about caring for Bert Cubitt but on more reflection, I believe it was in the mid 60s.
