Vail, Eleanor Leora

Eleanor Leora Vail passed away in the loving arms of her parents Brittany and Lyndon Vail of Meaford at the Victoria Children’s Hospital in London on June 17, 2020.

Born on December 28 2019, her beautiful smile and bright eyes will be fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of meeting her. Her time may have been short but she left a lasting impression in the hearts of many.

Eleanor was the granddaughter of Bill and Phyllis Vail of Meaford and Reginald and Nancy Hale of Stayner. She was the great granddaughter of Wilda Mckenzie (late Beverly), Gerald Radbourne (late Mary), late Marion and Delmar Rowbotham and late Leighton and Frieda Vail. She will be remembered by her Aunts Drew (Ian) and Sydney (Albert) and her Uncle Brandon. She is missed by her cousins Finley, Jocelyn and Harrison.

Although she is no longer with us physically, her spirit remains forever in the hearts of those who loved her. We know she is watching over us, with a special guard dog by her side.

As an expression of your sympathy donations may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford (www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca) to the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario, whose generosity and hospitality was immensely comforting to Lyndon and Brittany, or the London Health Sciences Center Children’s Health Foundation where Eleanor received excellent care in both the NICU and Paediatric Critical Care Unit.

May God hold your breaking hearts in the palm of His everloving hands and bring you comfort and peace. I believe Eleanor is home with her Father in Heaven and with no more pain or breathing problems. She will grow up with the angels and talk to them often of her amazingly brave and loving parents who never left her side. May you know our Father’s deep peace at this very very hard time.

It is with broken hearts and deep pain and sorrow that we grieve the loss of our daughter Brittany and her husband Lyndon’s little angel, Eleanor. She stole our hearts from the beginning and her smile was absolutely beautiful and her big eyes were stunning. Eleanor was a fighter from day one and no matter her pain she would always give Brittany that smile. The only comfort for us, she is no longer in pain and that Brittany and Lyndon know she is no longer suffering and is at peace. No words will ever lessen the pain and loss of our special angel. Grandma and Pops Hale, Aunt Drew(Ian), Aunt Sydney(Albert) and her cousins, Finley, Jocelyn and Harrison will hold you forever in our hearts.
