Sims, Emily Elizabeth 'Libby'

Libby Sims of Meaford passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 62.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Tom and Olive (nee Maher) Sims of Meaford.

Libby was the much loved sister of Lin Sims of Burks Falls and Pat Sims of Meaford.

She will be fondly remembered by many cousins and their families and by her special friend Sharon Ashton. Libby has enjoyed her time spent living with her close friends who quickly became like family. A special thank you to all of Libby’s caregivers for the compassion and support Libby has received over the years through Community Living in Meaford.

A private service will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.

    My deepest condolences to Libby’s second family. She will be sorely missed by her room mates and the staff of Community Living Meaford-Susan St., who loved her so dearly and cared for her so tenderly.

    Libby brought such joy to those who took the time to really get to know her. Her loving nature and incredible moxie have left an indelible mark on those who cared for her.
