Thinking of you Val at this difficult time. You and Gerry were the greatest next-door neighbors ever, and it was my great pleasure to find out Gerry was a fellow goalie in his hockey-playing days. I loved hearing his stories and marveled at his bright outlook even under tough circumstances. Vaya con dios Gerry.

    Dear Val
We are so sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. But this is truly an occasion for Dr. Seuss’s quote:” Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened “ we say this because we truly always enjoyed seeing Gerry’s big smile as he greeted everyone at the pool at Boca Shores and was always a true gentleman who showed an interest in everyone around him, kids and adults alike. We are so lucky to have spent time with him over the years.
We are thinking about you and your family and know that Gerry has left you with many wonderful memories.
    Love
    Sharon and Alain

    Dear Val,
Gardie and I are sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. You are a great supportive couple for each other. We have fond memories of you two welcoming us at the Boca Shores pool…. we didn’t feel settled into the vacation there until we had said hello to Val and Gerry. You made young and old feel at home. We will always think of the corner table as the Lintons. Such a friendly gentleman will be missed but lovingly remembered. Take care of yourself. We hope to see you again. Love, Linda and Gardie Church

Garry and were saddened to hear of Gerry passing . He was an awesome man, and a gentleman !! Our sincere condolences to you Val, and Gerry’s son Greg and his family. Garry and I were so welcomed by Gerry and Val when we first came to Boca Shores in 2006. Gerry use to call me “Awesome”, because everything I saw at Boca Shores, I would say “This Is awesome ” !!!!! The parties/dances at the pool, and the clubhouse, were the best !!! We met some amazing kind, loving, people, and we are still in touch with many today. We miss Boca Shores !! On to the next journey in our lives ! God Bless all !! We are so blessed to gain so many friends. Hugs Marlene & Garry Burke, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia,Canada. PS We were so happy to have met you and Abby, Greg. You are an awesome guy. Your Dad loved you with all his heart. He spoke of you often. Send us a note if you are able. Email below.

Hi Marlene and Gary, thanks so much for your thoughts you brought a tear to my eye. The first time I ever saw you Marlene I was sitting with dad by the pool and he’s pointed at you and looked at me and said that’s Awsome I said dad what’s awsome? He said she is pointing at you again!
I miss him terribly but the memories and laughs we had will be with me forever till I catch up to him again. Best to you both I won’t forget you two either. Greg.
