'Gerry'

Gerry Rooyakkers passed away peacefully at his home in Meaford, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 92 on Monday, September 20th, 2021.

Born on April 3rd, 1929, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, he was the son of the late Jan Rooijakkers and the late Cisca (nee van Lippen) formerly of South Africa.

Gerry is survived by four daughters, Linda (Rooyakkers) Trent of North Bay, Canada; Lorraine Human of Vancouver, Canada; Janet Burquest and her husband James Burquest of Tennessee, USA; and Lesley Rooyakkers of Meaford, Canada; one sister, Annie (Rooyakkers) du Toit of South Africa; eight grandchildren, Tarren (Gomes) Myers and her husband Nathan Myers of Colorado, USA; Angus Trent of North Bay, Canada; Richard Human and his wife Kelsey (Jones) of St. Petersburg, USA; Daniella (Gomes) Marshall and her husband Drew Marshall of Indiana, USA; Brendan Human of Vancouver, Canada; Bianca (Gomes) and her husband Neil Fisher of Colorado, USA; Stuart Trent of Toronto, Canada; and Ainsley (Mackenzie) Melone and her husband Brady Melone of Colorado, USA; nine Great grandchildren, Sierra Myers of Colorado, USA, Summit Myers of Colorado, USA, Tamzen Marshall of Indiana, USA, James Fisher of Colorado, USA, Mikayla Fisher of Colorado, USA, Aryah Marshall of Indiana, USA, Jack Trent of North Bay, Canada, Nazareth Marshall of Indiana, USA, and Sage Melone of Colorado, USA.

    Our deepest condolences and sympathy at this very sad and difficult time. I remember your Dad’s lunchtime visits to Mom and Dad in Lombardy East, all those years ago.
