Breadner, Gordon Lorne 'Gord'
Gordon passed away after a very brief stay at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the age of 84.

Born in Euphrasia Township on April 15, 1938, he was a son of the late Lorne and Harriet (nee Irwin) Breadner.
Gord was the beloved husband of Doris (nee Davison) for over 63 years. He was a loving father to BonnieLee and Don Schram, Faye and Steve Fisher, Myrna White and Peter Weldrick, Kaylene and Steve Wilkins and Randy and Kim Breadner.
He will be sadly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Gord will be fondly remembered by his siblings; Maurice Breadner (Doris), Donald Breadner (Eloise), Marg Gilray (late Barry), Marie Hubbard (Herb), and his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Gord proudly served as the President of the Meaford Amateur Athletic Association and the Meaford Branch of the Kiwanis Club in a volunteer career that spanned over 40 years. He loved sports and also coached baseball and hockey. He was proud of his work with the Meaford Knights manning the clock. Gord was a member of the Church of Christ in Griersville and then the Meaford congregation. He truly loved Meaford and participating in the community in any way that he could.
Family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Wednesday, May 25 from 4 until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Church of Christ in Meaford on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11 o’clock. Doris, Randy, Kim and all the Breadner family, my deepest sympathy goes to you all. Gord was a hard working, dedicated worker for the Meaford Kiwanis Club and especially for the Midas Mart which meant so much to him. He continued to work there at great physical discomfort, but could not be persuaded to stop. It was COVID that caused all of us to stop. He was also a dedicated member of minor hockey where every year he made sure part of our donations went in that direction, as well as the Church of Christ. Gord you were a true servant of God and will be missed Big Time by so many. .
