O'Connor, Irene Edna
It is with great sorrow that the family of Irene O’Connor/Finlay announce her passing in the morning of July 9, 2026 at Sunset Manor in Collingwood.

Irene was a great Mom, but an even better Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was full of life, with jokes and tricks for everyone in her path, no one was safe if she was hiding behind any door.
She will be greatly missed by all.

Grandma Irene lived a full and remarkable 96 years. She had a subtle, wicked sense of humor that often caught people by surprise and left them smiling.
For me Gogama will always bring back memories of Grandma Irene, especially her grass seeds for Brownie—a story that became part of family lore and perfectly reflected her quiet wit.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, and lovingly remembered for the laughter and joy she brought into our lives.
“She left us with treasured memories, gentle laughter, and a smile that will remain in our hearts forever.”

My last good visit with Aunt Irene was in Florida. We spent a week together. I went with her to her favourite pancake house, ice cream sundays for desert were a must. We watched bluebirds from the florida room window. Lots of laughs and conversation. You will be missed.
My condolences to all her loved ones.
