With my sweet best friend resting in God I feel closer than ever to you Lord. You came a little early for my Jenny but you always know what your doing. Jennifer lived a holistic life and showed Canada how important organic and natural foods are to maintaining optimum healthy lifestyles. Her smile was infectious and her Hugs will be missed by me and everyone else around who was the recipient of those daily Hugs. Sending Hugs to Katy and Evan. She’s so proud of you kids!

Jen, you touched my life as a young person so deeply, and saw my strengths and my spirit in ways they had never been reflected to me, which empowered me so much at that time. You always felt like long lost family to my heart, and your kindness and wisdom will live with me always. Until next time, so much love.

It was such a blessing to have had Jennifer’s friendship for more than 45+ years. She was many things to many people, but to me she was someone I admired, a long time friend, and a beautiful, loving person inside and out. When I reflect back on all those years, there are many things that stand out. Such as; how she turned her passion for holistic and organic food into a life long career, how she was a natural mother who was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren, how she was the most wonderful friend ever. I could always count on her to really listen, empathize and share her wisdom. She was generous with her gifts of time and attention, not only with her friends and family but also with their children. My own kids all expressed how she had given them support and encouragement over the years, and that she was someone very special to them. A sentiment that I know is shared by many of her friends children.

Physically, Jennifer was a true beauty. As obvious as that was, it was her inner light that really grabbed your attention with her genuine smile, azure blue eyes and heart felt hugs. She had her share of life challenges but she faced them with grace, strength and courage. Jennifer loved a good party, good music, good food and she was just so much fun to be around.

Jennifer, I will always remember how blessed I’ve been to have had you in my life. Thank you for being my friend. I will miss you terribly until we meet again.

    Love Judy & Chris

I was so saddened and shocked to see Jennifer’s obituary in the Orangeville paper. I met her through her mother Anne (your grandma made sure to say Anne with an ‘e’ as I only have four letters, I want to be sure everyone uses them all!) Jennifer was obviously a regular visitor to see her mom at Lord Dufferin Centre where I worked. I always thought she was such a beautiful spirit with so much love and patience for her mom and those around her. The depth of her love for her mom was so evident. She was as proud of her mom as her mom Anne was of Jennifer. Jennifer’s dear friend would visit Anne whenever Jennifer was away. Jennifer was always sure to care for those she loved even if she could not be with them. I have no doubt her children will miss their mother’s genuine and loving ways. To her children I just wanted you to know that I have no doubt that the deeply devoted love you carry for your mom and grandmother is a legacy that I am certain will carry on for generations to come. I am so saddened to see Jennifer’s light on earth dim but I have no doubt her aura of love and strength will surround you and her grandchildren for all time. Rest sweet Jennifer. Your work is done. What an incredible mark you have left on this world.

Good memories of Jennifer include her son Evan being a friend to my son Alex Hawkins in high school, and seeing Harmony Whole Foods grow and thrive to this day. My wife Kathleen, founder of Kids Can Do, enjoyed seeing another woman succeed in creating a new business. Thanks to Jennifer for her strongly positive attitude.

I am overwhelmed by your passing. I am your big brother…and you aren’t supposed to die before me ! You never could follow the rules (and that’s part of the reason, I loved you and loved being around you.)
Dear Jen you taught me how to make ideals a reality, how to be brave beyond belief, and how to live life to the limit, and you filled my heart with joy. I am glad that you are no longer suffering , but I miss you terribly…
