I grew up in Thessalon, next door to John on Brownlee Rd. and had the pleasure of sampling his homemade pizzas and baking. He even let his daughter and I experiment with making a bread, which we ate and survived, lol. Rest in Peace John. My Condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences. John was a kind, caring, and generous man. He spoiled us at the IDA pharmacy with flowers and food baskets. He nick named me MJ and truly cared about the store and the staff. We will miss his chocolate bar orders for Nancy and great phone voice

I’m so sorry for our loss. Mom and I met John at the Meaford LTC when Dad was admitted a year ago Feb. John and I struck up a friendship and my mom thought the world of him. When he found out that I had sailed, had been into Thessalon on a ship unloading stone, his jaw dropped. Whenever we saw each other we would take the time to visit and he would always make me laugh. He and Gord passed away on the same day and my heart broke, they were my two favourite people. I didn’t know John long but I will remember and pray for him the rest of my life.
My deepest condolences to all who loved John.

My respect for John is great, as I witnessed how he cared for my dear friend Nancy when she was diagnosed with her illness, especially since he had health issues himself.
I consider John to have been my friend as well. He kept me apprised of Nancy’s condition & how they were doing plugging on together. He would have my name on the large screen TV when I phoned, so that Nancy could see who was calling her.
You will be dearly missed John and I hope you are at peace, as you so deserve!
    Kay
