Ken Brown of the greater Napanee area passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Trent Valley Lodge in Trenton on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of 77.

Born in Meaford on December 28, 1941, Ken was a son of the late Walter and Peggy (nee Kent) Brown.

He was the cherished brother of Sharon Ball (late Garry) of Waterloo, Karen Gerrard (late Elwood) of Everett, Barbara Rodgers (Willis) of Mono, and Robert Brown of Alliston. Ken will be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Ken spent many years pursuing higher education and achieved many degrees including his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Guelph, his Masters in English and Philosophy at the University of Waterloo, and his Bachelor of Education.  He loved to write and submitted his articles and short stories to various newspapers.  Ken will be missed by many of his friends who shared his love of teaching, research, learning, and writing, including Janine and Brenda who meant a lot to Ken.

A graveside service will be conducted at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, Russell St., Thornbury, ON on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 2 o’clock.
