Thompson, Kevin Lee

Kevin Thompson of Meaford passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the age of 56.

Born in Hamilton on May 1st, 1966, he was the much-loved son of Lee and Sharon (nee Brown) Thompson of Wasaga Beach.

Kevin was the cherished husband of Kimberley (nee Wilkinson) Thompson of Meaford.

He was the very proud father of Zach (Riley) and Caleb (Julia); and the elated and ecstatic Grandpa of Joni.

Kevin will be missed by his brother Brad (Christie) and sister Tracy (Jeff).

He was the dear son-in-law of Glenn and Pat Wilkinson, and brother-in-law of Kevin (Donna).

Kevin will be remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by his colleague and friend, Doug Feltz, and by many other friends he has made over his lifetime.

Kevin was a master electrician and was respected by his coworkers.  He loved his family and taught his sons how to think freely and be true to themselves.  Kevin was so proud of their accomplishments and achievements.  He was often the voice of reason, always willing to share his opinion and offer advice if requested, or not.  One of Kevin’s favourite places was definitely his garage.  He thoroughly enjoyed caring for his shiny Dodge truck, and if the garage doors were open you could be assured that everything was in the proper place.  He truly missed his loyal dog ‘Daytona ~ The smartest dog ever’, and said there would never be another.

Kevin’s life will be celebrated in the summer of 2023, ‘Shiny Side Up’.

Was a my privilege to share a Hosey Express bus seat with Kevin. ( left side, 2nd from the back) for all those school years.

Think of you often, from the walk-a-thob, birthday parties, then the big move over to Wasaga.

I cherish our time together, and will remember!
