Leis, Kylar Deacon

Kylar Deacon Leis was born to Dillon and Gary in Owen Sound on October 21st, 2015. He was a healthy, happy baby and grew to be a kind and sensitive toddler. He came to us, Cody and Natasha, on March 12th, 2019 and made us a daddy and mama. He went home to be with Jesus while doing what he loved, playing outside with Kora, Kayson and best friend Brodie.

Our last Sunday together was extra special.  Breakfast outside in the sunshine, playtime with daddy, and a family hike by the river with Kylar leading the way. Kylar’s life was lived to the fullest with never a dull moment when he was around.  Anything outside, whether it was hiking, biking, soccer, swimming, baseball, Kylar was in the center of the fun. Just recently he was enthusiastically helping separate the chickens, barefooted.

There are many highlights of day trips we took together, us 5.  Our two trips to The Great Wolfe Lodge will never be forgotten.  Story hour, swimming and the roller-coaster rides there, were his favourites. On one of our trips to visit Uncle Jared in downtown Toronto we stopped and took the children up the CN tower. Kylar left us way too soon, but his infectious giggle and mischievous grin will live on in our lives. We give him back with broken hearts to an all-wise God.

Those left behind, waiting to meet him again are his parents, Dillon and Gary, Cody and Natasha, siblings Kora, Kayson and Hazen. Grandma Cindy and Pa Tom -Nana Marion, Aunty Caitlin- Grandpa Tony and Nana Joan, Uncle Jared and Aunty Kendra, and cousin Fawn. Grammy Sue, Grandpa Daryl -Uncle Ryan and Aunty Carla, cousins Mason-Alexis -Alani.  Aunty Stef and Uncle Joel, cousins Ellena-Enrique-Andrea -Almanzo, and Uncle Michael. As well he leaves behind a host of friends who will miss him.

We would like to thank all the local first responders, the Meaford Hospital, the Ornge team, PCCU team at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario, and the Ronald Mcdonald House for the excellent care and compassion we received. It was a comfort to us as each one touched our lives in a different way. Last but not least, we deeply appreciate all the prayers, and sympathy received from family and friends. All are welcome to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 at 11 o’clock at the Owen Sound Canadian Reformed Church, 177551 Concession 5, Owen Sound, ON   N4K 5N3.

I feel so privileged to have been able to spend a few days with Kylar in the spring of 2021. He was an angel on earth and perhaps that is why he was chosen to be even more perfect of an angel in Heaven. I am offering my sincere thoughts, condolences, and prayers to each one of you who were closest to him. Fond memories, Great Uncle Errol
