Falls, Mary Ellen

Mary Falls passed away peacefully with family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the age of 64.

Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late John and Cecilia (nee Murphy) Gibson.

Mary was the beloved wife of Leo Falls of Meaford.

She was the very proud mother of Michael Falls and his wife Sarah of Georgetown and Christine Tichbourne and her husband Brad of Meaford.

Mary’s world definitely revolved around her grandchildren. She thought the world of them and they sure thought the world of their Nana.  She will be dearly missed by Emma, Abbigail and Brieanne Falls and Owen, Julia and Kara Tichbourne.

Mary loved to help others and enjoyed her time working with the staff and residents at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre. She took great pride in being able to help care for her grandchildren and always made sure they got where they needed to go.  As the kids grew up she had more free time she kept busy working at the local Dollar Store and Bargain Shop.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private service of interment at Lakeview Cemetery in the near future.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Meaford Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.   www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
