Our condolences to Maurice’s family. He and Helen were neighbours back when he lived in Port Elgin. He was a man that could be counted on if you needed assistance with any project, big or small. RIP Maurice, you will be missed.

So sorry to learn of Maurice’s passing. Hallelujah he’s with his Lord and Savior now!
Maurice and I met years ago while our family attended the same church together – But, it was through the Senior Program for which I was the Coordinator that our friendship was formed.
Maurice always enjoyed sweet fellowship with each Senior who gathered together…he was full of love and life.
Maurice was a good and kind man and will certainly be missed.
Sharon, our sincere sympathy goes out to you and the family.

My condolences to Maurice’s Family, I had the good fortune of working with Maurice, couldn’t have picked a nicer, gentler man. He always appeared to enjoy what ever challenges he was faced with and would always do his share to help the team. A fine person.

Our sincere condolences to Maurice’s family. We worked together at the Bruce and I enjoyed working with him. If the Leafs and Bluejays would have listened to Maurice and I, they likely would have done a lot better. Maurice was a good person who had lots of faith. The heavenly choir will be just a bit louder now. Rest In Peace, Maurice.

    Dear family of Maurice Watson

We were very shocked to learn of the passing of your Dad. We knew both Helen and Maurice from years when they went to church in Port Elgin at the Missionary Church. We knew their children as well. We heard he had remarried after the passing of his dear wife Helen, however, we never had the opportunity to meet his new wife and extended family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Many of us over the past few years have experienced different health issues, but we often remember each other and keep in contact. The Phillips family are now in the Kitchener area living in a retirement home/long-term care facility. Dow, lost his foot due to Diabetes and they sold the farm. John and Joan still live in Port Elgin, although John had a heart attack in November/December 2020 and I was hospitalized for heart issues in October/November. Ken and I live in Port Elgin after having sold the farm in the North Bruce area 20 years ago. Our boys — William lives now in Sunridge and works out of Huntsville and our son John lives in Barrie and is still employed in his career choice although he is presently off work due to a hip replacement operation. Ernie and Sharon still live on the farm on the 4th of Saugeen and have had illness in the past but are doing quite well right now. That is just a quick update as to what is happening in the lives of those who were involved in your growing up. The years have certainly flown by and our lives have taken various twists and turns. Remember to keep the Faith, and one day we will all be reunited in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus and your dear Mom who I remember always with great fondness. May your Faith and memories give you the strength you need to cope during this time of deep sorrow when family and friends are not able to reach out and give you a hug, and/or words of encouragement at this most difficult time. Your are in our thoughts and prayers. With Our Deepest Sympathy to you and yours.
