Weldrick, Minerva "Joan"
January 6, 1940 - November 6, 2023
With heavy hearts Joan’s family announces her passing on November 6th, 2023 at Errinrung Long Term Care Home, with her daughter by her side.

Born on January 6th 1940, Joan (the Ravenna girl) was the only child of Minerva and Francis Wagg.
In 1959 she married a neighbor boy, Mitchell. Mitchell and Joan raised their family on the Weldrick family farm. Their family consisted of Andy (Barb), Peter (Myrna), James “Jimmy” (Jamie), and Michelle (John).
Joan’s family grew over the years to include grandchildren Adam (Tristen), Christopher (Hailey), Jonathon (Katelynn), and Khemish (Matthew). The family then welcomed great grandchildren Emma, Austin, Xavier, Carson and Kendall.
Sadly, Mitchell predeceased her in 2015. Joan left Ravenna soon after this, and her beloved birds and dogs, and moved into the Errinrung Residence. She made many new friends in her new home and the staff treated her like family.
Joan requested cremation and once this has been completed she will return to the 8th line for one last winter with Michelle and John, until her spring interment with a private family graveside service.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Errinrung Residents’ and Family Council would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

The Weldrick Family,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. I’m so thankful that Joan and I took an afternoon to tour the Valley in June. Joan had a phenomenal memory. I learned quite a lot on this tour. Who lived here who lived there. I only wish I had had her out one more time.
Our condolences to the family.

To The Weldrick Family
I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this time of loss. Joan will be reunited with Mitchell in Heaven. Joan and Mitchell were great neighbors.
My parents were very close friends with Mitchell and Joan. They assisted each other on their farms with the gathering of the various crops. Later they enjoyed their company and good times on many camping adventures.
My condolences

Our Condolences go out to the Weldrick family. We were fortunate to have known Joan and Mitchell and spent many times making memories at the Legion.
Joan made the best Carrot Cake and won many awards at the fall fair.
Her sense of humor and her laugh were contagious.
When my mom moved to Errinrung Joan made her feel comfortable having her join her table at lunch. Thankyou Joan for who you were.❤

Andy, Peter, Jimmy, Michelle and families, we are sorry to learn of Joan’s passing. We thought she must be ill when her email connections stopped some time ago. She always enjoyed getting, and giving, a few smiles and giggles through email. Cherish your memories. R.I.P. Joan.
