Kissoon, Molly Sankar

December 25, 1943 - March 15, 2025

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Molly who left us on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the age of 81.

Molly was the cherished mother of Debra and Curtis; adored grandmother of Shauntel, Rennell, Patrick and Brandon; affectionate great-grandmother of Carter, Priya, Broden, Arianna, Parker, and Teigen; supportive mother-in-law to Romani.

Her extended family, Darryl, Richard, and Donald, were also dear to her heart. In addition, she was a beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Trinidad.

Molly was also the loving owner of Ares, affectionately nicknamed Lulu, who she brought everywhere she could.

She came from a family of seven (three brothers and three sisters). She was the middle child and predeceased by her siblings.

Molly was born in Trinidad and moved to Canada in 1975 with her two children, Debra and Curtis. She directly moved to the beautiful town of Meaford to join her sister Sheila and brother-in-law Frank Nanderam. Once there, she worked as a healthcare professional for 47 years; first at the Meaford Nursing Home then as a PSW for Meaford Community Living. She was a hardworking individual who retired at the age of 78.

Molly was a very family-oriented person who always put her family first. Her kindness knew no bounds; she was always there to listen and help when needed. She always found a way to make you smile. Molly was loved by everyone who knew her and built friendships with many that lasted her lifetime.

Molly loved going to church, gathering with family and friends, and cooking. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her home cooking (especially her apple pies and baked bread). She loved to sing – whether it was hymns at church, songs while doing housework, or melodies as she played the piano. Everyone admired her voice.

Molly was a courageous, strong, and persistent woman who faced many challenges in life. She met every challenge with grace and resilience. She was honest, sincere, generous, and kind to everyone she met. She always made a lasting impression everywhere she went.

Molly was a truly remarkable person known for her kind-heartedness, admirable determination, and strong will. Everything she did was with boundless love. She was an inspiration to all those around her.

She will forever be loved, remembered, and missed by everyone.

You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.

Molly’s family will receive friends for visitation at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Thursday, March 27th from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service celebrating Molly’s life will be conducted the next day at Cook St. Pentecostal Church in Meaford, Friday, March 28 at 11 o’clock with a reception following.
