Luger-Morocutti, Monika

If ever you shopped in Thornbury, you would have enjoyed the zany humour of the Proprietor, Monika Morocutti.

Monika was an indomitable designer, dressmaker, knitter, skier, tennis player and an Austrian cook/baker. She was lover of smoked salmon and fine wine.  She also was a great hostess and sports car driver!

Sadly a fall and a broken femur which led to a diagnosis of cancer ended all those lively activities and left her confined to long term care in Meaford.

Regrettably for those of us who enjoyed the spirit she exuded, Monika was relieved of all suffering on Monday, February 22, 2021.

Deep gratitude goes to those dear friends and family who supported and sustained her with their love and companionship, and their encouraging words and gestures these past few years.   Much appreciation goes to those who lovingly cared for and befriended Monika at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre.  Thank you so much!

Cremation has taken place.   A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
