Ham, Patricia Ann "Pat"

Born in Fergus, Ontario on October 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Melvin and Annie (nee McDougall) Nixon, Pat passed away in Kingston on May 4, 2020 at the age of 80.

Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald ‘Don’ Ham in 2008. She and Don were former longtime residents of Meaford where they were both active members of the community and served with both the Kinsmen and K-ette Clubs.  Pat will be recalled for her many years as the store manager of the local Stedmans store on the main street.  Following their retirement, she and Don moved to Fergus where they lived for some time and, following Don’s death, Pat relocated to Kingston to be with her daughter and family there.

Pat will be remembered as the much loved mother of her daughter Tracy and husband Roger Bedard of Kingston and as a devoted grandmother to Roger Jr. and his wife Melissa of London and their daughter Olivia.  She was predeceased by her son Jeffrey Ham and granddaughter Michelle.

Pat was a dear sister to Fred Nixon (deceased) of Windsor, Melvin Jr. (deceased) and his wife Sandra of Fergus, Mary Jane (deceased) and her husband Jim England of Mt. Forest, Dan and his wife Betty of Fergus, Susan and her husband Ron Stalhbaum of Alberta and Marg and her husband Bill Paisley also of Alberta. She will be fondly remembered by her several nieces and nephews and their families.

A private family funeral service, officiated by Rev. Cathy Miller of Christ Church Anglican, was conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Wednesday May 6, 2020 with a service of committal and interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

A further celebration of Pat’s life will be shared with family and friends in Fergus at a later date to be announced.

My condolence to Pat’s Family. I remember Pat when they lived in the little brick house across from Meaford High School. Our dad, Ivan McCausland was Don’s 1st cousin. Thinking of the family at this difficult time.

I am so glad I got to reconnect with both her and you at George Ryan’s funeral – even if it was only for a few minutes.
