Maclean, Patricia Donelda 'Pat'

Pat Maclean passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Brightshores Hospital in Meaford on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the age of 79.

Born on November 19, 1946 in Collingwood and raised in Meaford, she was a daughter of the late David Jesse and Clara Dorothy (nee Fisher) Adams.

Pat was the devoted wife of the late John Maclean, and the loving mother of Scott and his wife Mary-Lou (nee Bear) of Meaford, Jan and her husband Jon Taylor of Port Colborne, and Joan and her husband Pierre Schnupp of Wendover. Pat was also survived by John’s children: Kenneth Maclean of Sault Saint Marie, and Dawn and her husband John Lancaster of Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL.  She will be sadly missed by her dear grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart.

Pat was a dear sister of the late Lloyd Adams and will be remembered fondly by his wife Katharine of Meaford, her brother-in-law Shane Maclean and his wife Katherine of Cobourg, and by her sister-in-law Sandie and her husband Earl Wilson of Meaford. She will be remembered by several nieces, nephews and their families.

Pat loved the Lord and her family.  She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Stayner. She often said “The Lord is the holder up of my head”, and thanked Him for her every breath.  Pat was youthful at heart and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Be it playing games or just sitting and enjoying the company.

A special thank you to the staff at the Meaford Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our mom and our family over the past month.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10 o’clock.  A private service of committal and interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.

Praying for all the family at this time. I will miss Aunt Pat. I have known her since my early childhood. I will miss her friendly smile, hugs, and gentle, caring ways. I am so glad she knew the Lord as her personal Saviour, and that we will meet again. She was a true blessing to all who knew her.

Thank you, I fondly remember your mom & I still have a pendent heart necklace with a mustard seed in it that your mom gave me when I was in her Sunday school class.
We would love to hear some of those stories about the farm. Scott & I were trying figure out how old the homestead is.

      Sincerely
      Joan
