Thivierge, Paul Richard

Paul passed away peacefully at the Owen Sound Hospital on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the age of 64.

Born in Montreal on January 9, 1960, he was a son of the late Cecile (nee Cote) and Dr. Arthur Thivierge.

Paul will be sadly missed by his brother Art (Anne and their children Jennifer and Shawn) and by his sister Lisa (Grant Hough and their family).

Paul always had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humour that often brought family and friends to tears laughing.  He made a great impression on others and developed many new friendships at Errinrung, which became his home in December 2023.  He was so happy there.  Paul truly loved his community and all of those he met throughout the years he has lived in Thornbury.

Special thanks to the staff at the Owen Sound Hospital and to his sister Lisa for providing the best care Paul could have had for the past few months.

Private family arrangements have been made at this time.

My deepest condolences, Lisa, Grant and family. Paul held a special place in my heart. For example, he knew my children were in French Immersion and never let the opportunity of ‘helping’ me with my French pronunciation pass. We shared many good conversations over the years and I hope he found joy in those visits to the pharmacy; I definitely did. Thinking of you all and wishing him peace. Shannon

Arlene, thank you for becoming part of our family and taking such great care of ours when needed. Both Mom and Paul enjoyed hearing about your family and we thank you for staying in touch with Paul and dropping in to say hello. He certainly was thrilled when you visited him at his new home so that he could show you around! Stay well.

Our condolences to Paul’s family. It’s been many years since I saw Paul but my memory of him is filled with smiles. Always up and funny as I recall our times in Montreal with the Thiverge family.
My folks were sad to hear this tragic news.
Godspeed, Paul. You will be missed.
