Wilton, Robert Deverell 'Bob'
Robert Deverell ‘Bob’ Wilton of Meaford passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at the Meaford Nursing Home, Saturday, April 30, 2022 in his 91st year.
Bob was the beloved husband of Evangeline ‘Simy’ Wilton (Sims).
He was the dear father of David (Kim) of Erin, Ruth (Alex Elliot) Collingwood and Tim (Pauline Johnston) Markdale.
He will be remembered as the loving grandfather of Alicia Wilton (Mike Montagano), Jessica (Trevor Rahim), Ben Wilton (Joyce Kuipers), Matthew Henning (Jamie Potter), Stephen Henning, Kate and Ellen Wilton. Cherished great grandfather of Odin Rauket-Henning, Livia and Ember Henning and Jake Rahim.
He was the brother-in-law of Anna Wilton (Sotolongo) of Collingwood and Alicia Sims-Docherty of Scranton Pennsylvania.
Bob was predeceased by parents Jack and Flora (Deverell) Wilton, his brother John Wilton and brother-in-law Paul Sims.
When Bob was not selling real-estate, he was more than likely working in his vegetable garden or in his woodworking shop, and on windy days out sailing on Georgian Bay.
A private service will be held at a future date.

Simy and Ruth, so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a very nice man. We bought our very first house in Meaford with Bob’s help ! Through Bob (and work) I’ve had a long friendship with Ruth also. Our sincere condolences to all of your family.
