Wright, Robert Eugene 'Bob'

August 29, 1942 - September 18, 2024

Forever remembered and cherished, we have lost a loving and supportive husband and soulmate to Laurie for over 56 years, father, grandfather, friend, volunteer, and helper.

Robert loved and encouraged his kids – Dave and Erika, Sarah and Bryan.  He adored his grandkids – Lauren, Leighton and Alexander – and so looked forward to hearing about their skiing, running and hockey.

Predeceased by his older sister Lois and survived by his younger brother Charlie.  Fond of and close to his nieces and their families.

During a longstanding career he managed to always have time for assisting with hockey, ringette, skateboarding, snowboarding and school programs.  He enjoyed lending a hand to those around him for any and all projects, no matter the size or scale.  Living abroad in Singapore was such a highlight but his true home was and will always be Sunnyside Beach.  “Make good decisions, always keep joy in your heart!”

A very special thank you to all of the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at Meaford Hospital who took such loving care of him in his final months, all of you hold a special place in our hearts.

A private family service will take place at a later date.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Meaford Hospital Foundation or Thornbury Baptist Church (cheques only please) would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.   www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
