Dobson, Robert George

Born in Toronto on May 15, 1946, a son of the late Cyril and Evelyn (nee Gorenko) Dobson, George passed away peacefully at his home in Thornbury and in the presence of loving family on Tuesday May 19, 2020 at the age of 74.

He will be lovingly remembered by his step-daughter Cheri and her husband Edward Sleep and their son Christopher of Thornbury and step-son Greg Bunn of Owen Sound.

George was a devoted brother to his sister Gale Skippen of Thornbury and will be remembered as the brother-in-law of Gale’s husband, the late Fred Skippen.

He will be recalled fondly by his cousin George Dobson and his wife Bev of Bracebridge and several other cousins in the ‘west’ and by their families.

A family funeral service will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford followed by interment at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery where George will be interred with his parents.

In lieu of flowers and as your expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
