Bachner, Roger Allen

June 25, 1956 - April 10, 2025

Roger passed away peacefully at the Meaford Hospital on April 10, 2025.

Born in Kitchener on June 25, 1956; a son of the late Martin and Katharina (Moser) Bachner.

He will be missed dearly by his brothers; Martin Bachner and Bill (Colleen) Bachner.  Predeceased by brother John Bachner.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Roger will be missed and remembered fondly by his family at his home on Nelson Street.

Roger loved listening to music and especially Christmas music any time of year; his friend’s often called him “Rock’n’Roll Roger” which he loved.  He enjoyed crokinole and other games.

He looked forward to outings, especially if in included a meal out with family and friends.

Roger had a great sense of humour, he loved making his family laugh and enjoyed visits with his grandparents.  Visits to Memory Gardens in the Kitchener area were something he enjoyed.

Rock n Roll Roger was such a joy to see on a daily basis. He was either making you laugh right out loud or challenging you to the nth degree! So many fabulous memories with Rock n Roll through the years. It was an absolute honour to be with Roger until the very end. He will be missed every single day. It brings me peace that you’re with Mom and Omama! Till we meet again xo

I was so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing and that I could not be there on your Journey to heaven to be with Mom and Omma. My heart is heavy as I spend many hours with him and will miss seeing u when we had a visit after I retired.
Roger enjoyed his music and always looked forward to me sharing my CDs with him. He loved the oldie songs. I was never sure if he loved his music or food better
The love of his CLM Family took shifts to sit with Roger until he passed
RIP Dear Rock n Roll RIP.. With Love Brenda!

Oh Roger, you stole my heart with your humour. You made sharing a bologna sandwich a real picnic before bed time. You would share what you did over the course of a day shift with your own band of humour. I remember how you loved your homemade soup. You were caring and fun to be with I know you will be missed by all. God bless you Rog as you make your way to your special spot in Heaven by God’s side.

You took a small piece of my heart with your rock and roll. You were such an incredible soul. So blessed to have had the time with you that I did. Heaven just got a little louder. Love ya Rog.
