Horn, Roland Budreau

Roland Horn passed peacefully, with his wife by his side at Meaford Long Term Care on August 22, 2023.

Born in Winnipeg on July 27, 1934 to Roland and Forest (nee Budreau).

Roland graduated from Queens University with a BSC in engineering in 1958. He was employed by the Canadian Gypsum Company shortly after graduating. Roland spent 33 years there before retiring as V.P and General Manager in 1994.

Roland is survived by his wife Genevieve (nee Veaucage), son David, and daughter Elizabeth.

In honour of Roland’s request there will be no public funeral service with interment taking place in Rainy River with the rest of his family.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Meaford Hospital Foundation or Grey Bruce Residential Hospice (Chapman House) would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON   N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.   www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca

    Hi Genny. I’m so sorry to hear about Roland. I was just looking at my wedding photos several weeks back and there’s a lovely picture of Roland laughing with Forrest. It’s the kind of laugh that you know is from muscle-memory harkening back to a time when they were kids. Maybe those three brothers are together sharing a good laugh together now.
