Our sincere condolences to the entire Green family. So many memories from our childhood growing up in our little village all centred around Greens store. Ruby was such a great neighbour and friend to all of us. Another light has faded from Heathcote but now shines brightly with her family and former neighbours in the heavens.
Sending hugs and prayers to all of you.
To Ruby, thank you so much for all the memories I have of you, I will forever cherish them.
    With warm thoughts

Condolences to the family. Ruby was always friendly and helpful. When I was younger, I would ride my bike from Thornbury to Heathcote or my mom would always go shop there Friday nights because my dad worked at the mill behind Green’s store. Everytime I went in the store Ruby would always be there. She and Gerry were a great couple.

    To all the Green families,
Sorry for your loss, your mom was a great lady and I always enjoyed seeing her and having a good chat. I got to know Ruby through my grandparents who lived next door in Heathcote and of course the Green’s general store.
She will certainly be missed but you will have many memories to share.
    RIP Ruby.

I have so many great memories of Ruby from Heathcote days. I would go on trips with Ruby and Jerry to visit Ruby’s family in Thessalon and Sault Ste Marie …… I would help babysit the 5 “wild boys” , it was so much fun. Ruby and Jerry would go on trips with my parents and they always had great stories to tell when they got home. Sometimes Jerry would drive until the gas tank was getting very low on the trips , I can still remember Ruby reminding him to “stop for gas”.
Hold your memories close and remember all the good times.
    RIP Ruby

To the Green Family, my thoughts are with all of you, at this time.
    Yes, so many memories,
She was special. Always that mischievous grin, like she knew something you didn’t. Witty and funny. John, Fern and Ruby, always up to something. Hanging out at the store. We kids would
Walk the ditches for 2 cent pop bottles. Huge six cent ice cream cones. 25 cents for a bag of chips and a coke. Harry, pumping gas with a butt on his lip. Didn’t realize it at the time but all those people were so special.

Our thought are with you at this sad time. Lots of memories of grocery shopping with Mom and picking up the mail from Harry with a cigar in his mouth! Memories of going to school with most of you boys. Great baseball games! Times of meeting at the “swimming hole” and having many laughs! Our little Heathcote was once a busy place with everyone shopping at “Greens”. Everyone knew everyone. Cherish your memories of your Mom!
