Boyle, Shawn

It is with extreme sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Shawn Boyle, on April 23, 2020 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 45.

Shawn was born in Owen Sound on January 26, 1975, the son of Dale Boyle and the late Reg Boyle. He was the dear brother of Brenda Boyle (Kevin).  Shawn will be missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shawn was a person who travelled many places which allowed him to gather many life experiences adding to his unique personality. His love was to be out west and that was where he was when he passed.  He was liked by many and loved by his family.  Although life continued to present challenges, he persevered through them.  This time his journey will be to join his family on the other side of life.

‘We love you Shawn and hope you are at peace without any further life challenges. You will be missed and our hearts are breaking without you here.’

A celebration of Shawn’s life will take place at a later date after the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and family and friends can safely gather.

Dale and Brenda. We have many good memories of Shawn. He and our son, Eric, spent many hours playing together on the 11th line hill and being in our home. We were happy to take him with us to Sunday School in Meaford. He was always polite and willing to share with us. Paul had a good talk on the phone with Shawn last fall. We are praying for you during this difficult time. May God give you His peace. Rev Paul and Mary Hansen

Dale – so sorry to hear about Shawn. I will never forget Bob Harding and I coaching him in hockey. He would do anything you asked. He was a good kid to coach. Brenda and I were shocked when we heard. Give us a call if you need anything at all.

Condolences to the family, Shawn was one of the first people I met after moving to Meaford back in the early 80’s. Always had a fun time playing and hanging out at each other’s houses on Bayview hill, and sitting together on the bus to school! Will be missed.
