Simon, Sheryl Lynne

Sheryl Simon (née Perks) passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 68, after a long struggle with her health, leaving the world less full of laughter and joy than it was with her in it.

Sheryl was the beloved wife of David Simon, proud mother of Don (Nancy) and Jillian (Dean), devoted grandmother to Chelsey, Dyllan, Ella, Evan, and Sophie, great-grandmother to Isabelle and Emerson, and much-loved sister of Ruth Juniper (late Tom).

Sheryl was a warm, kind, and generous person who, no matter what she did, did it with contagious passion. She never missed a chance to host a party for friends and family and always loved cooking for a crowd. Full of stories and laughter until her very last moments, her fiery spirit and infectious laughter will be missed but never forgotten.

Sheryl requested a private ceremony. In place of a service, her family invites you to gather with your loved ones, share a meal, tell stories, and make happy memories together.  Sheryl’s light remains with us, a reminder to live fully, laugh often and cherish the moments we share with those we love.

My condolences to Dave, Ruth and families. I remember Sheryl as part of the Perks family whenever they visited the House family, what good neighbours she and Dave were to Mom and Dad (Amy and Bill House) when they lived on St. Vincent Street and especially the beautifully-decorated cakes that she made for their special occasions. .
