Kindness, Susan

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Susan Kindness, after a brave battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her husband and two sons. Her courage and strength was as amazing as she was.

Susan is survived by her loving husband Keith, 2 sons: Kevin (Carla) and Joe (Michelle), 3 grandsons, and extended family:  Bill (Erma), Bill (Shona), Helen, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her kindness, love, and creativity will live on through her cherished family.

A family funeral service will be held on Saturday July 25, 2020, and will be limited to family and friends due to COVID restrictions. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.

Friends and neighbours are welcome to attend the celebration of life at her home from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Please note that current Health Ministry Covid regulations and guidelines will apply and casual attire requested.

In lieu of flowers, Susan has requested donations to be made to the Meaford Hospital Foundation which can be made directly (mhfoundation.ca) or through the Ferguson Funeral Home www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca to whom arrangements were entrusted.

Special thanks to the Nurses, Doctors and Staff at the Meaford Hospital who have been incredibly supportive, professional, and so appreciated during this time.

To the Kindness Family my sincere condolences. Susan and I belonged to the same quilting guild and she attended several sewing classes with me. She was creative and a pleasure to spend time with. I am deeply saddened by her passing and will miss her. Cancer sucks!

Our deepest sympathies to the Kindness family. Having only moved to the area recently we wish there had been more time to get to know her better. She was always helpful whenever I became stuck with a quilting project.

I remember that family was so important to her. She was so thrilled to have her 3 grandchildren living close by and she loved having them come to visit.
She has been an important part of my family and the memories we have of our times together are so precious. We remember her kindness, her sweetness, her enjoyment of the simple things in life. Her niece and nephews will miss her along with all of us.
My condolences to my brother and nephews and their families.
    Love to you all,
    Helen
