Watts, Terry Lorne

December 8, 1962 - August 6, 2024

Terry Watts of Meaford passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday August 6, 2024 at the age of 61.

Terry was the loving husband of Patricia Ruth Watts.

He was the Son of the late Leslie Watts and Joyce Cutler McNutt and the late Ivan McNutt. The son-in-law of the late Edna Allan. Brother of Brenda Watts and Doug McNabb, Rick and Carol McNutt.

The loving Step-Father to Kim Bell, Alen and Tracey Hawes, Michelle and Richard Devey, and Robert Hawes.

Loving Grandfather to Jason Bell, Jessica Bell and John, Malisa Hawes and Dylan, Nadine Eaton, Rebecca Hawes and JJ, Ana Morley and Daniel, Tailor and Simon Potter, Shelby Devey and Trevor, Dominic Hawes, Gulia Hawes, and Nadia Hawes.

Doting Great-Grandpa and Papa to Hayden and Emerson Bell, Hunter and River Vander Ploeg, Owen and Gracelynn Potter, Oaklyn and Max Eaton, Lyndon and Caleb Lambe, Demi, Damien, and Donna Hawes.

Uncle to Nicholas Bath, Kristen and Patrick McNutt, and the late Jordan McNabb.

Of all the people in the world, and all the one’s I’ve met in our life, it’s a miracle I ever found you. I wasn’t looking for love when we met. It just sort of happened and it caught me unawares.

You were so kind and considerate and I looked forward to seeing you and talking with you and all of the sudden I couldn’t picture my life without you.

Imagine a sea of stars and having to choose just the right one and then getting it right. No dream could come close to what we have and what we built together. I want to wake up beside you for the rest of my life, I want us to grow old together holding hands, and make sunshine memories to chase away the rain clouds. I love the perfect way I fit into your arms and the tender way you look at me when you think I don’t see. You are my vision at the end of the perfect day, my moon, my sun, my stars, my love.

My/Our Condolences go out to Ruth and in respect of Terry’s Families. What I remember about Terry is, he was a man that spoke very little, he didn’t have to, when he did, it was usually when someone spoke first, along with a smile that could light up a whole room, he let his actions speak for themselves, I honestly, truly believe that we, who call ourselves Christians should take a page out of his book, he demonstrated what it meant or how a Christian should walk, he always had a kind heart, always had a good word to say about people. He is/was an amazing and excellent example of how Christians should walk in their Faith. A verse of scripture from the Living Word comes to mind: James 1:19-21 Sums up who Terry is/was as an integral, humble, genuine, gentle, loyal, respectful, trustworthy, honest, loving ❤️ and a caring human being towards his wife, his family and his fellow man. He will be sadly missed from his wife Ruth, his Family, Church Family and all who knew him of our Community. Our Deepest Sympathy, Wayne and Jennifer Shortt-Button

When i lived in Meaford they used to live on the other side of Johnny B’s. I hardly ever saw him not walking with his wife on her scooter. He was a doting husband. I am very sorry for your loss
