Lee, Ursula

The former Ursula Fothergill passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the age of 93 at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Howard Lee in 2012.  Loving mother of Kerri Comly (late Brian), Michael Lee (Kim) and Lyndon Lee (Kathy). Sadly missed by grandchildren: Kati Burgess (Marty), Chris Comly, Amanda Rogers (Ian), Andrew Lee, Rebecca Brunke (Adam) and Aislyn Jaberzadeh (Richard) and seven great-grandchildren: Owen, Chloe, Quinn, Lennox, Greyson, Nora and Corbin.

Born at the family home in Beaverdale in Euphrasia Township in 1928 to George and Alice (nee Roffe) Fothergill, Ursula was a lover of all animals, dogs and horses most of all.  After an extended visit to her mother’s cherished family in England, Ursula returned home to marry Howard Lee and began their life together farming in Minniehill, where they raised their three children.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford at a later date.

Kerri, Michael, Lyndon & families: Our heart felt condolences on the passing of your mother and the grandmother to your children. Ursula was my friend as well as being my first cousin. We had many years of friendship, family tree history, scooting around together and laughter. Ursula will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Kerri and Lee families. Many fond memories of Ursula through Wally. She was a sentimental soul, always laughter and a twinkle in her eye. She loved and enjoyed each of you. She will be missed.

    Kerri & family:
Our thoughts are with you and yours at this difficult time. Some of my happiest memories in life was spending time with Ursula playing cards at the kitchen table at her father’s farm (my Uncle George) in Beaverdale and helping Ursula with the farm chores. We spent alot of time together on the farm when we were young and seeing her through the years gone by. Cherish all the wonderfull memories.
