Lewicki, Vencelaus 'Wally'

September 24, 1951 - January 26, 2026

After a brief illness, Wally died peacefully on January 26, 2026 at Brightshores Hospital in Meaford, ON. 

He was the husband of 28 years to the late Sheila Collins of Collingwood who passed on June 3, 2025.

He is survived by his sister Ela Lewicki of Mississauga.

Born in Poland on September 24, 1951, Wally was the son of the late Michael and Staphania (Witek) Lewicki.

Wally was a long-time resident of the Collingwood-Meaford area after moving with his wife Sheila from Toronto. He will be missed by his friends and the extended Collins family.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place in the spring.

    Although my interactions with Wally were sporadic, I always found him to be an enquiring, quirky, friendly gentleman.

    I am sorry to read of Wally’s passing.

    I met Wally once when my wife Carol (who worked with Sheila) and I were asked over for dinner at their home in Collingwood. I think I had the biggest steak I ever had that night!!!

    Wally was a pleasure to have met and to chat with.

    Though and prayers through this difficult time
    I met Wally in my building we became good friends
    Lots of lol and stories and talks
    Thanks Wally my friend for support
    When was needed till we meet again
