White (nee Haines), Lois Marie

Lois White of Meaford passed away suddenly in Owen Sound with Keith White, her beloved husband of 63 years, by her side.

Born in Meaford on February 17, 1938, Lois was a daughter of the late Melville and Edythe (nee Henning) Haines.

She was the loving mother of Bart (Carmen), Bonnie and Bill (Denise) White.

Lois was the proud grandmother of Joelle (Matt) Town, Cory White, Kaleb White and Miciah White and great grandmother of Zara and Luka Town.

She is predeceased by her brothers Ted, Bill and Ron Haines, and will be remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and their families.

Lois spent many years teaching and loved to help others.  She enjoyed baking and knitting and spending time with family and friends.  She was kind and patient and will be missed my many.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service of interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.

    Sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts. You were great neighbours when we lived on Marshall Street. Lois showed me many of her crafts. The beautiful quilts she made. I always enjoyed having a morning coffee with her when Bill and Randy played together. Cherish your memories.

    Looking at people I knew in Meaford it’s sad to see Lois has passed away. I have fond memories of the White family. My condolences to Bart and Bonnie.
