Lord, Richard Paeglow 'Rick'

Rick Lord passed away peacefully at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the age of 87.

Born in Hamilton, ON on July 30, 1933, Rick was a son of the late Richard and Nida (nee Paeglow) Lord.

Rick will be missed dearly by his wife Barbara Lord, his daughter Laura Melton and his son Eric Sired, and by all of his grandchildren and those whose lives he has touched over the years. Rick was predeceased by his sons Brian Sired and Gerry Lord.

He will be remembered for the love he had for all of his children, and the kindness and support shown to both people and animals.

Cremation has taken place and Rick’s life will be celebrated at a later date.

    Rick was my dad Warren’s first cousin, also born 1933 in Hamilton. Although I never met Rick I enjoyed some correspondence and phone calls with him towards the end of his life discussing genealogy research on the Lord family. His warmth and kindness will be remembered.
