Malone, Paul Bernard
Surrounded by family and love, Paul Malone passed away peacefully at Meaford Long Term Care on Sunday, April 21st, 2024 in his 88th year.
Paul was born to the late Joseph and Helen (nee Pearace) Malone on May 2nd, 1936 in Toronto.
Cherished husband of Aija for 67 years. Adoring father of three daughters, Linda Davies (Hugh), Kathy Barone (Angelo), Christina Southgate, and son Scott (Erica). He was predeceased by son Kenneth in 1966.
Proud and loving Grandpa of Emma, Evan (Jaydaline), Maggie (Herb), Tania, Cara, Joshua, Erin (Raul), Kaity (Denis), Mathew, and Graham. Adoring Great Grandpa to Callie, Hunter, Ethan, Fletcher, Keenan, Annie, Maverick, Dahlia, Damien, Jasper and Jett. Paul will be missed by his sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Bill Vernon and nephews Rick, Steve, Mark and Raymond and their families.
Paul was ambitious and self-taught. As a young man he started his own paving company after reading a book about road paving, and later managed an Ontario wide paving crew of 450 men for K.J. Beamish Construction. He taught himself auto mechanics, electronics repair, and computers. Later in life he became a licensed carpenter and worked as a contractor. If there was something new he had to learn about it. He had many interests and hobbies including motorcycles (racing too), downhill skiing and camping with family, and beer and wine making. Paul was known for his sense of humour and love of animals. He especially enjoyed family holidays and get-togethers.
This funny, kind, and generous man will be terribly missed by the family, especially by his wife, the love of her life.

Aija and family – We have many memories associated with Paul that connect to Marsh Street Centre and the Thornbury Little Theatre. They are funny and friendly, tender and poignant. We were glad to read a bit Paul’s past which we didn’t know. Peace be with you all
