Young, Annie Findlay 'Ann'
Ann passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Center on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the age of 94.
Born in Scotland on July 28th 1928. She was the daughter of the late James and Marion (nee Torbet) Todd. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband Jimmy Young and also by her grandson Ryan Holmes, as well as her seven brothers and sisters. She was the loving mother of Bill (Rena), Jeanette (Steve) and Maggie. Ann was also the proud grandmother of John (Jessica), Colin (Kate), Claire (Jose) Danny and Devon. She was also great gran to Jayzen and recently to baby Oscar. Ann emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1980 and retired to Meaford in 1992 where she enjoyed the beautiful scenery that so reminded her of her homeland, Scotland.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service of interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford at a later date. Ann’s family would like to thank the incredible loving staff at Meaford Long Term Care Home who made her time there comfortable and lots of fun.
